Tornadoes in the Northeast

EF2 TORNADO IN PHILADELPHIA

We give thanks that the Lord has spared the OPC of loss of life and predominantly loss of property as Hurricane Ida made its way up the eastern seaboard. One exception is Rev. Dave Holmlund, Presbytery of Philadelphia's regional home missionary. His neighborhood was hit on Wednesday afternoon by an EF2 tornado. A large tree caused a bit of damage to his home, enabling the torrential rain to pour in. Pray for this family on the recovery process they are undergoing, right at the start of the school year. And give thanks for the Lord's preservation of this family and many others during this violent storm.

EF3 TORNADO IN MULLICA HILL, NJ

Deacon Chris Corson from Providence OPC, Mantua, NJ, says there are no reports of damage to any member homes from the major tornado that came through the area on Wednesday evening.
