The Presbytery of the Southeast Comes Together: Hurricane Helene

Members of Heritage Presbyterian Church in Royston, GA, (photo) traveled over 70 miles north to assist Covenant OPC in Taylors, SC, with tree removal following Hurricane Helene. This effort demonstrates the beauty of our connected church as the OPC Presbytery of the Southeast comes together to support one another. Pastor Peter Vandoodewaard (Covenant OPC, Taylors, SC) reports with thankfulness that they have received all the necessary generators for his congregation at this point.

The OPC's sister denominations are now organizing their efforts. If you are able, we encourage you to help with MNA Disaster Response TAG Region, go here to register to volunteer: https://resources.pcamna.org/.../how-to-volunteer-with.../ . Sherry Lanier from MNA DR says, "We anticipate having volunteer staging sites up and running within the next week. As information regarding this disaster develops it will be posted on the MNA website, http://www.pcamna.org ." Please continue to pray for this region and for the safety of the volunteers as they travel and work.
